HealthLight Therapy

HealthLight™ is a photo-modulated (pulsed, light emitting diodes) device also known as low-level light therapy (LLLT). The infrared and visible red LEDs are the heart of the HealthLight™ Therapy systems, providing gentle but powerful non-coherent light.

After decades of research it was found that certain wavelengths of light within the red, blue and infrared bands were very beneficial to living tissue. Light therapy is currently being used in clinical and home settings around the world. Light therapy has been in use by the medical profession to increase circulation and reduce pain and inflammation for more than 20 years. Its growing acceptance has become more abundant as research continues into the many ways light therapy can help.

LED light therapy describes the color in terms of the wavelength of the LED's. The wavelength is measured in nanometers (nm). The human eye sees wavelengths as colors. Visible light ranges from the violets at about 380 nanometers to the deepest reds at about 750 nanometers. HealthLight lights are blue 430 nm, red 650 nm and infrared 880 nm. Infrared is outside of the visible spectrum and cannot be seen by the human eye.
